I am an Exempt Employee. Do I have to work overtime?Navigation: Home > Tax Law > I am an Exempt Employee. Do I have to work Overtime? |
|
In most situations, employees exempt from FLSA are not paid overtime. Exempt employees by the nature of their professional, administrative, executive positions are expected to work the hours required to do their job in an effective and efficient manner and thus may have to work overtime as an expected condition of employment. You may, however, be able to work out an arrangement with your employer to earn comp time. |
