Copyright Infringement

Navigation:  Home > Intellectual Property >Copyright Infringement

A copyright owner has several rights to the copyrighted work, including the right to reproduce the work, the right to sell and/or distribute the work, the right to create adaptations of the work, and the right to perform or display the work.

The copyright owner also has the right to transfer the copyright to another owner. For instance, an author may transfer his copyright to a book to the publisher. The copyright owner can either license the copyrighted work for a specified period for a specified medium, or the author can give up all ownership in the copyright and assign it to someone else.
