|
Administrative law deals primarily with questions of the propriety of granting powers to agencies as well as with the judicial checks upon the activities of government agencies. Administrative law is divided into several interrelated parts, governing the administration and regulation of state and federal government agencies. The agencies are granted power by either Congress or the state legislature. Administrative agencies lie at the heart of all public-law subjects, from tax and securities regulation to labor and environmental law, from communications and energy law to white-collar crime and intellectual property, and from health-care and financial institutions to civil rights, land use, and antitrust law. Administrative Lawyers provide legal support in the areas of government contracting, including bid proposals, and administration of government contracts.
